Nuts & Snacks Packaging
The same bagger does not make every nut or snack behave the same way. We match conveying, weighing and the bag to your product, on our SVC260, VP and VGT baggers.
Typical route: bucket conveyor → multihead weighing → bagger → inspection → case packing
What Are You Packaging?
Each product has its own page, with its challenges, route and test.

Nuts
Breakage, oil and seasoning, and giveaway on a costly product.

Snacks
Fragile, light chips, seasoning and the right headspace in the bag.
Nuts and snacks can share machines, but not one setup. Packing dried fruit or confectionery? Send it to us and we test it the same way.
Common Nut and Snack Packaging Challenges
Five things that decide how a nut or snack line performs.
Breakage and fines
Long drops and hard transfers break nuts and chips and add fines.
Light, bulky products
Chips take up a lot of space for their weight, so bag size and dosing have to match.
Oil and seasoning
Oil and seasoning powder coat buckets, hoppers and chutes and can reach the seal.
Product bounce
Pieces bounce at the bag mouth and land in the seal area if the drop is not controlled.
Headspace and gas
Some products need nitrogen or a set headspace, others do not. It depends on the product and the film.
Recommended Packaging Route
Each step is matched to the product and to the step before it.

- 01
Pendulum Bucket Conveyor
Hygienic or Standard model lifts the product to the weigher
- 02
Multihead Weighing
Doses the target weight
- 03
Packaging Machine
SVC260, VP or VGT, chosen by the bag
- 04
Inspection
Checkweighing and contaminant checks
- 05
Case Packing and Palletizing
Bags into cases, cases onto pallets
Gas flush, zipper and product settler are options on the VGT and are fitted to the project. Weighing, inspection, case packing and palletizing are integrated around our machines.
Packaging Machines
Start from the bag: each machine is labelled with the bags it makes.

SVC260 Continuous-Motion VFFS
Continuous motion for higher outputs. Bags up to 260 mm wide and 400 mm long, up to 160 bags/min.*

VP Series Compact VFFS
Compact baggers for lower outputs. 20–90 bags/min,* film up to 520 mm wide.

VGT Series Quad-Seal VFFS
Front panel up to 300 mm wide, up to 80 bags/min.* Gas flush, zipper and degassing valve as options.
*Machine references. Actual output depends on product, fill weight, package and film.
Define Sustainable Good Output
A nut or snack line runs at the pace of its slowest stage, often the clean seal, so we check every stage instead of quoting one machine's top speed.
We set the final line target from product tests and agreed FAT conditions.
Request a Packaging Test- 01
Product handling
A steady flow without breakage
- 02
Weighing
Enough sustainable doses per minute
- 03
Bagging
Enough good bags per minute
- 04
Inspection
Enough accepted packs per minute
- 05
Case packing
Enough cases per minute at the bags per case you need

Which machines are used for nuts and snacks?
The SVC260, VP and VGT baggers and both pendulum bucket conveyors.
Which bag should I choose?
Start from the package. Pillow and side gusset bags: the SVC260 for higher outputs or the VP series for a compact line. Quad-seal bags with or without a back seal: the VGT series.
Can the VGT use gas flush?
Yes. Gas flush is an option on the VGT. Whether your product needs it, and the settings, are defined from the product and the film.
Does every nut or snack need nitrogen?
No. It depends on the product and the film. We define it with you before the configuration is fixed.
What output can I expect?
160 bags/min is the SVC260's machine maximum and 80 bags/min the VGT's. Your line output is set from the product, the weighing, the bag and the film.
