Rice & Grain Packaging
Choose the package first, then match conveying, weighing and output to your rice or grain. Our Wide-Spout pouch fillers, SVC260, VP and VGT baggers and pendulum bucket conveyors are all used for rice and grains.
Typical route: bucket conveyor → weighing or filling → pouch filler or bagger → inspection → case packing
What Are You Packaging?
Each product has its own page, with its challenges, route and test.

Rice
Broken grains, dust and large fill weights, in pouches or bags.

Grains and Cereals
Many products on one line: small seeds, dust and carryover between products.
Packing seeds, pulses or another dry granular product? Send it to us and we test it the same way.
Common Rice and Grain Packaging Challenges
Five things that decide how a rice or grain line performs.
Bulk density
Conveyors are rated in m³/h. Your bulk density turns that into the kg/h the line really gets.
Dust and fines
Dust and fines build up in buckets and hoppers and can reach the seal or the spout.
Broken grains
Long drops and hard transfers crack grains where the appearance of the pack matters.
Changeovers
Plants running several products need easy cleaning and little product left behind.
Package choice
Spouted pouch, pillow, gusset or quad-seal bag: each leads to a different machine.
Recommended Packaging Route
The same conveying feeds whichever packaging machine your package needs.

- 01
Pendulum Bucket Conveyor
Hygienic or Standard model lifts the product to the filler or weigher
- 02
Weighing
Built into the Wide-Spout filler; a multihead weigher for the baggers
- 03
Packaging Machine
Wide-Spout, SVC260, VP or VGT, chosen by the package
- 04
Inspection
Checkweighing and contaminant checks
- 05
Case Packing and Palletizing
Packs into cases, cases onto pallets
Wide-Spout fillers weigh, fill and cap in one machine. The SVC260, VP and VGT take their dose from a multihead weigher. Inspection, case packing and palletizing are integrated around our machines.
Packaging Machines
Start from the package: each machine is labelled with the pouches or bags it makes.

Wide-Spout Pouch Filling and Capping
Weighs, fills and caps stand-up pouches with a 33 mm angled spout. Three models: 450–700, 1000–1200 and 1200–1400 pouches/hour.*

SVC260 Continuous-Motion VFFS
Continuous motion for higher outputs. Bags up to 260 mm wide and 400 mm long, up to 160 bags/min.*

VP Series Compact VFFS
Compact baggers for lower outputs. 20–90 bags/min,* film up to 520 mm wide.

VGT Series Quad-Seal VFFS
Front panel up to 300 mm wide, up to 80 bags/min.*
*Machine references. Actual output depends on product, fill weight, package and film.
Define Sustainable Good Output
A rice or grain line runs at the pace of its slowest stage. The conveyor is rated in m³/h, so we convert it to kg/h with your bulk density and compare it with what the packing line needs.
Supply must stay above demand. Our pendulum bucket conveyors are rated at 10–20 m³/h with up to 25 m lift. We set the final line target from product tests and agreed FAT conditions.

The machines, package formats, complete line and services behind this industry.
Which machines are used for rice and grains?
The Wide-Spout pouch fillers, the SVC260, VP and VGT baggers and both pendulum bucket conveyors.
Which machine should I choose?
Start from the package. 1–5 kg spouted pouches: Wide-Spout. Pillow and side gusset bags: the SVC260 for higher outputs or the VP series for a compact line. Quad-seal bags: the VGT series.
Which grain products are listed for the Wide-Spout fillers?
Millet, mixed grains, beans, corn grits, multigrain brown rice, tricolor quinoa, rice and sesame.
Can the conveyor capacity be read as kg/h?
No. Our pendulum bucket conveyors are rated in m³/h. We convert it to kg/h with your bulk density.
Can one line pack several grain products?
Often, yes. We plan the changeovers and check how much product stays in buckets, hoppers and chutes, so it does not mix into the next product.
Can the Wide-Spout fillers use nitrogen?
Yes. Nitrogen or air evacuation and induction sealing are options on the Wide-Spout fillers, chosen for your product and pouch.
