Fragile chips

Chips and puffed snacks break when they drop too far or hit hard transfers. Broken pieces and crumbs end up in the bag.
What we do · Drop heights and transfer points are set for your snack and confirmed in the test.

Choose the package first, then match product handling, weighing and output to your snack. Our SVC260, VP and VGT baggers and both pendulum bucket conveyors are used for snacks.
Packages: pillow and gusset bags or quad-seal bags
Six points that decide whether a snack line runs well.

Airy snacks fill a big bag for a small weight. The bag size, the hopper volume and the bagging speed all follow from the bulk density.
What we do · Bag size and weigher hopper volume are chosen from your product's bulk density.

Seasoning powder and oil coat buckets, hoppers and chutes and change how the product flows.
What we do · Contact surfaces and cleaning access are reviewed for your product.

Crumbs and seasoning dust in the seal area cause weak or leaking seals.
What we do · Every packaging test checks seal quality and product in the seal area.

Some snacks are packed with gas and a set headspace, others are not. Not every snack needs nitrogen.
What we do · Gas flush on the VGT is used only where your product and film call for it.

Light pieces bounce and settle slowly, so the bag has to settle before the top seal is made.
What we do · Product settler and bag deflator options on the VGT are matched to your snack.
The same handling and weighing feed whichever packaging machine your package needs.

Hygienic or Standard model lifts the snacks to the weigher
Doses the target weight
SVC260, VP or VGT, chosen by the package
Checkweighing and contaminant checks
Bags into cases, cases onto pallets
Gas flush, product settler and zipper are options on the VGT and are fitted to the project.
LINYOPACK machines
Start from the package: each packaging machine below is labelled with the bags it makes. Handling, weighing, inspection and end-of-line modules complete the line.

Continuous motion for higher outputs. Bags up to 260 mm wide and 400 mm long, up to 160 bags/min.*

Compact baggers for lower outputs. 20–90 bags/min,* film up to 520 mm wide.

Front panel up to 300 mm wide, up to 80 bags/min.* Gas flush, product settler and zipper as options.
*Machine maximum. Actual output depends on product, fill weight, bag size and film.

Hygienic and Standard models, both used for snacks and confectionery. 10–20 m³/h and up to 25 m lift, in Z-type and C-type layouts. We check the capacity in kg/h with your bulk density.

Weigher configurations for chips and puffed snacks are available. The final choice follows the piece size, the bulk density, the target weight and the dose rate the bagger needs.

Checkweighing, metal detection, combined units, or X-ray where the application calls for it. The method is chosen once the product and package are known.

Robotic case packing and palletizing, integrated around the finished bag, the case pattern, the case rate and the pallet pattern.
A snack line runs at the pace of its slowest stage. The conveyor is rated in m³/h, so we convert it to kg/h with your bulk density and compare it with what the packing line needs.
Supply must stay above demand. We set the final line target from product tests and agreed FAT conditions.

The machines, industry and package format behind this application.
The SVC260, VP and VGT baggers and both pendulum bucket conveyors.
Start from the package. Pillow and side gusset bags: the SVC260 for higher outputs or the VP series for a compact line. Quad-seal bags with or without a back seal: the VGT series.
Yes. Weigher configurations for chips and puffed snacks are available. The model and its weighing result are confirmed with your product.
Yes. Gas flush is an option on the VGT. Whether your product needs it, and the settings, are defined from the product and the film.
No. The gas and headspace a snack needs depend on the product, the film and the package you sell.
160 bags/min is the SVC260's machine maximum. The output of a snack line is set from the actual product, weighing, bag and line conditions.
They are built for free-flowing pieces such as snacks and confectionery. Breakage and crumbs are still checked with your product in the test.
Yes. Checkweighing, metal detection, robotic case packing and palletizing can be integrated around the bag, the case and the pallet.
Send the product, target weight, package format and required output. We will use them to choose the packaging machine and plan the test.
We reply within 1 working day.
